Episode 52: 100 Grams

Why did the RD! boys miss a cast last week? Well... they were busy livin' it up in San Diego for Comic Con 2008! For all you losers who missed out on the ultimate nerd-fest, fear not... the RD! boys are here to fill every one of your orifices with gooey Comic Con 2k8-related delights. Before you even press the play button on whatever music player you have... ask yourself, "Can my body handle all this awesome?" If so, prepare yourself for Robotronic Dynamite! Episode 52.

(0:00 - 7:38) Intro / Watchmen
We kick off this Comic-Con Spectacular by talking up the biggest panel of the show: Watchmen! Zack Snyder and the main cast assembled on stage to show us (yes, just RD, OKAY?) some hot-hot footage extended from the trailer they showed before The Dark Knight in theaters. Maybe you'll find some of this footage online since JoE Shieh is a dirty Chinese pirate!

(7:38 - 17:40) Tales from the Gameside
Videogames were absolutely nuts this year at Comic-Con, and Capcom lead the pack without a doubt. Hear our impressions on some of these games, capped off by the now legendary tale of Jason Rose's victory over Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono.

(17:40 - 28:27) Tales from the Gameside II
With Capcom behind us, there were still a ton of games to tackle, and even those that weren't playable manage to make it into our sexy discussion. Of course, that has a lot to do with how highly we're anticipating sure-to-be fancy feasts like Prince of Persia and Mirror's Edge. Also: Brandon hates Ben Templesmith and loves stopping potential retards from absconding with Wiimotes and/or in-distress damsels.

(28:27 - 39:15) Panel de Pon: Raining Blood
Shieh and Aleem are star-struck! They spent a good hour or so at Comic-Con discovering their intense love for Korean mega-star Rain, and they spend a few minutes telling our audience how "awesome" and "dreamy" he is! Don't take my word for it, listen up as they jam about the Ninja Assassin panel. Following that, they recount a very drunk and chunky Gerard Butler, Wolverine VS Hulk hyperviolence, Rose McGowan's stilted inanity, and Julie Benz's hot ass.

(39:15 - 46:29) Pedifat Driver
Listen as we begin to wind down the Comic-Con chat, detail a few odds and ends of the week, and Joseph sets up the recording of him going mega-nerd in front of one of the most badass animation creators of all time. Seriously, we met Ralph Bakshi. How rad is that? (Check the bonus for the meeting itself)

(46:29 - 1:02:09) Listener Letters / Closing
Look, another communiqué from one of our loyal listeners. Hey, we promised we'd read them all, right? It's actually not too difficult with our ghost-town inbox, but please pretend it's an admirable feat. Also, please stick around for some rousing bonus material culled directly from our digital recorder on the grounds of San Diego!

Jason Rose letting the world know he just 'Giefed some loser in SFIV.

SFIV producer Yoshinori Ono rooting for Jason Rose.

This is the look of a man who just lost in the game he produced.

No, Rose McGowan is not making a lemon face... she got technology injected into her face to make her permanently hideous.

A chunkier Gerard Butler.

The chick whom Gerard Butler blurted, "What the fuck are you wearing?!" before bursting into a drunken belly laugh.

If the great scientists of the world fused human DNA with a douche, this is probably what the result would look like.

Bonus Image! Canaan with internet sensation, Lasagna Cat.
